This ending is really existential. I played p5 and p4 before i played this and I always felt bittersweet when the game ended knowing my time with those characters was over. In this one the protagonist's time is over with yours, the game ends right as he dies. You dont get to see the aftermath or how his friends reacted, you're just gone with him.

Theres people eho understand this a lot better then me, but the impact this had on me was understanding. In this scene, i undersatnd why death is not somethign to be feared or fought against. Makoto Yukis life was short, and its unfortunate he cannot spend more time with his friends and live his dreams, but those things are just natural. You can't do everything, thays why its important to enjoy the things you have done, and are doing. Makoto died, surrounded by friends, after sacrificing himself to save the world. Its a perfect end. I woukdnt ask for anything more. Nor would fighting against it do anything.

I know there are people gushing about the P3Reload version of this fight now, but in many ways, this one feels better and more mysterious to me. Because Elizabeth is equally as mysterious and that really shines through in her dialogue, motivations, and intent in her fight.

I've actually done this chapter in a randomized run, and though the chapter is already amazing in its base form, its a whole 'nother league when other unit types are in the fray. I had to deal with freaking Hawks of all things, and all of them had Pavise. As dangerous as it sounds, it was still fair believe it or not, which is a testament to how nicely designed the structure of the map is.

I kinda wish there was a way to spare Hetzel. Sure, he did not actively resist Lekain, but I don't think he's evil. Also, he saved Rafiel's life (even though it was through slavery). If I'm not mistaken, there is actually dialog for Tibarn in the game files which hinds towards sparing him, but this was apparently one of the many things that got cut from the game. If there ever will be a remake, I hope a lot of the old cut content actually makes it into the game.

Every time I did this chapter, by the time I passed enough turns I would make Micaiah's allies retreat to prevent them from fighting the Greil Mercenaries because they are too strong. While doing that, I end up saying, "The Greil Mercenaries are Coming!"

I wish we got to see Ludveck's shock when the Greil Mercenaries showed up.

Pure power beats numbers and that was the downfall of the boss of this battle.

This boss is so damn corny in the worst way. You really do need physical resist and crap ton of evasion to even have a shot to beat this fraud. Your best bet is to lower this guys defenses and just wail on him with something like a Ice Boost Jack Frost while praying he doesn't click Rampage on you. On the bright side,the reward is relatively worth it consider a Fan with +50 SP for Yukiko is putting in work for me right now.
